Well it's been a while, but I'm finally back home. In something like a celebration, here's tonight's entry, a brief review of where i've been, with a slight sprinkle of holiday goss.
Ok, so you all probably know I went to coffs on the weekend, for indoor cricket. Went really well, beat both tamworth and coffs, and slaughtered grafton (which are, incidentally, the sides coming 1st, 2nd and 5th respectively...we're now a solid 3rd).
While I was in coffs, a lot of things happened. Firstly, went out to the Coast Hotel with a few of the friends...was a sort of pre-birthday party for Emmilly, who had probably the nicest jacket I have seen (or felt) in a loong time. Cat was a bit more subdued than one would expect, but her tiredness didnt detract from her usual awesomeness. Few of the guys were there as well, Dan even managing not to look scary with his smile for once.
After getting back from there (at about midnight mind you), met my roommates for the two nights I was at the backpackers...five 19-21 year olds from germany, two guys, three girls. Yes, there were two couples, meaning one of the girls was single...and no, I did not pursue the matter. I did however, take her and one of the couples to the jetty on saturday arvo, then to the movies to see Hancock (more about that later)...and in return, got the best back massage, ever, seriously. The most relaxed my back has ever been...for a full 45 minutes, it was my "thankyou for taking us around everywhere and showing us some fun". So that was fun.
Now, the movies that I saw while I was holidaying (if you can call it that)...Dark Knight, which needs no praise from me, it speaks for itself with it's awesomeness. Get Smart, which was very good; funny, new, yet pretty faithful to the original series. Hancock...this was the wildcard for me, something to fill in time, yet, it is really good...unorthodox, funny and smart, I liked it a lot.
There's a few little things that i'm going to mention in point form, and that'll be it for tonight;
-"Saga of sevens suns" (series) by Kevin J Anderson, brilliant.
-I stand corrected, girls are very innovative when it comes to dishing up pain.
-The Roost is still the place to go for chicken and chips.
-Tafe is boring.
-I dont want to go back to work.
-Patience is something I'm becoming very good with.
