This is going to sound spectacularly harsh...but here goes.
I was going through the tamworth shopping centre, and I noticed a strange phenomenon...the average size of everyone in there was about 4 sizes too big....and it felt almost threatening.
I followed one family for a few steps, and I shit you not, the two parents were already morbidly obese, and their five kids (ALL of them) were following down the same path...my first thought was to put a sticker on them saying "i'm supported by the hospital system, but it's straining"...but then the sane part of my mind took over and realised that in that specific crowd, i would be used as toothpick after a donut king riot if i did that.
Maybe it's a freak occurance, but from what i've seen around different towns, it's becoming the norm...hard to pick out the people who are a healthy size (or working hard to get there), because you literally cant see them.
And yes, I'm sure that there are quite a lot of nice people amongst them, but I can bet pretty much all of them will put a strain on everything in the years ahead, both financially and i'm afraid, literally.
Curse me all you want, you know i'm right.
