"Hey Gary, I got a gig at the coffs hotel!" As soon as I heard that, I knew that this was going to be pretty big, Jesse's debut solo gig. It occurred to me that it might be worth going to, despite the fact that I live a few hours away. Finding an excuse, I made plans to go.

Was it worth the trip? In short, hell yes.

I've heard some of the songs that Jesse has on her myspace profile and while they are pretty good, they do not do her justice. Whatever the reason, hearing her actually singing, loud and proud, is better than any recorded song I've ever heard.
She covered so many different songs, from 'What?s going on' (4 non blondes), which was an obvious favorite, to one of the most difficult songs to get right, 'Zombie' (the Cranberries)and she sang them all, flawlessly.
Performing a few songs on the keyboard proved that her talent isn't limited to just one genre. With the addition of a couple of original songs, including 'Should I Stay' makes the knowledge well known that she is an incredibly versatile performer.

What are my recommendations for this up-and-coming star? Just keep it up, you're going brilliantly. I hope to hear more from you soon, and I'm still hoping for an album...signed, of course :p

My recommendations for everyone else? Make sure you go the next gig that she puts on, I can guarantee that you will not regret it.
